Question: How does one become an actor/model!?
I want to be a model/actress, and I was wondering how I could go about that!.
I'm moving in a few weeks, and I'm looking into the two closest agencies where I'm going!.
If I sign with either one or both of them, is that all I have to do,
or do I have to get my own agent!? Or are they my agent!?
Do they tell me of auditions, or do I look for them all by myself!?
Would they tell me things I need to improve on or change to land roles,
or is that up to me to figure out!? (I mean, image and body wise)!.
Do I mainly associate with one person, or the entire management!?

also, would having to continue my education via internet hinder my chances of graduation, or not be as good if I got it at an actual school!?

I hope your getting the gist of it, and any knowledge would help!.
Every single opinion helps me!.

Oh, and also, how can I land a role/shoot!?
And when auditioning for a role, do I have to choose my own monologue, or do they give you one to do!?

Any tips, tricks, facts, opinions, etc etc etc is welcome!.

Thank you (:Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need to first think of getting involved with anything locally!. LIke a workshop or acting class!. Maybe the local theater!.

Do the work and improve your product you!. Get headshots and self submit!. Even if you get an agent, you still have to work hard to find the auditions!.

Go talk to an agent, most likely they will tell you what you need to improve on to even be marketable!.

There are no rules to show business!.

Sometimes you do a monologue, usually you read sides from a script of the show!.

First things first you need to put the horse before the cart and at least take some sort of workshop!.

This is a hard job, what you see on the screen is 1% of what this job is

You should take classes at Broadway Bound Acting Academy!. The classes will help you with everything and prepare you to really be good at what you do so you stand out from the rest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would take the slow approach and start taking acting classes from a reputable schoo or coach!. Acting is the number most competitive job (at least in the United States)!.

The fast approach could be a serious let down and minus a lot of money!. Find yourself a school that will teach you your craft and also teach you the business end of things!.

Whatever company you decide on, be sure you check them out in the better business bureau, to see if there has been numerous complaints against them!. Someone always complain about something (that's okay), you don't want to see a trend of complains from many people over a course of time (not a good thing)!.

Only go with reputable companies!. If a company is asking you for money (other than a accredited school) right away!.!.!.Beware!. It could be a scam!. There are a lot of predators out there looking to exploit a new face!.

Good luck
