I've always been terrible at talking in front of people and have actually started making a point of talking to my department (80 disinterested students) whenever we meet!.

My advice is simply to realize that they are expecting you to speak!. Their reactions to you will be the same as yours if you were the one in the audience!. Do you think poorly of your teachers when they mispronounce something, or lose their train of thought!? They're is no reason they should react any other way!.

With the exception of the instructor of your class, but it -is- their job to judge you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only true way to get over this is to practice, practice , practice!.

Then take the speech and say it everywhere!. At dinner, at the mall, at friends house, anywhere where people gather!. At first you'll be nervous but after a speaking in front of people will be like putting on an old pair of jeans!. Second nature

The answer is in doing , the more you do it the more relaxed you'll become

Find a friend in the crowd, speak to them as if having a conversation, it makes you seem like your know what your talking about because your having a conversation with a real person not telling facts!. Plus it gives someone to make faces at you when you go oh my im going crazy!Www@QuestionHome@Com
