Question: What Broadway show should I go see in New York!?
My mother wants to take me to see a show for Christmas in New York!. I'm 15 years old and think this would be a good idea!. The thing is!.!.!. I don't know which one to go see!. I've already seen Wicked and Rent and I'm now looking for some suggestions!.

I was looking at synopsis's for Spring Awakening and Avenue Q and they sound REALLY good and I want to go see them, but would they really be appropriate for me to see with my mother!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Spring Awakening is the right thing to go to!. When I was 13 I saw the show with my father and it was fine!. If you guys are open with eachother and have seen PG-13 movies together!. It really is an important shows for youths to see!.

BUt in terms of appropriateness, Spring Awakening is MUCH tamer than Avenue Q!. Avenue Q is raunchy and explicit!. (But I love it!) It's crude humor!.!.!.!.!.

So go with Spring Awakening!

In The Heights is also brilliant- if you speak Spanish, or even if you don't you'll love it!.

P!.S!. Legally Blonde is closing 2 weeks from now!.!.so people who said go to that, you can't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Spring Awakening is amazing!. It also won multiple Tony Awards in 2007!. I don't know what kind of relationship you have with your mother or your maturity level, but I wouldn't take my 14 year old sister with me to see the show!. I'd suggest your mother reads this (http://parents!.springawakening!.com/ ) before deciding to take you there!.

Avenue Q is also in the same boat!. I wouldn't take my sister to it also!. I've heard that it was really good and also it won the Tony for Best Musical in 2004 and has managed to stay open since then!.

Between those two, I'd suggest to see Spring Awakening!. If possible, try to get on stage seats!. It's a really cool experience and also tickets are only $40! Maybe that way you could see both, if you're there for enough time!.

Enjoy the show!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I saw Gypsy a few months ago and it was amazing! I actually went for a school thing, and so I figure that if I can go for school, it should be fine for a mother and daughter!.

But, yeah, Patti LuPone and Laura Benanti were incredible! Can't go wrong with two Tony winners!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I recommend Legally Blonde the Musical ALL THE WAY!!! It's closing october 19 though so you better hurry!

I would also recommend seeing The Little Mermaid and Phantom of the Opera!.!.!.!.!.they are great! I haven't seen Young Frankenstein but I heard it's hilarious!.

Hope that helps!
