Having professional photos taken implies that you are serious about the business of acting and are willing to pay the occasional out-of-pocket expenses necessary to succeed!. You don't want to limit yourself and go to the bottom of the pile beneath actors that did take the time, effort, and money to get professional headshots taken!. You can find photographers who do great work for under $100 for one look!. Maybe you have a friend who is a great photographer too!. Industry standard is an 8 x 10 headshot, with your resume cut to match the same dimensions, stapled back to back!. Don't get your resume printed on the back of the headshot, because it gives the impression that you never book and have no need to update your credits!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No you don't need one but it sure would help!. A professional headshot is best but if you are a minor a headshot taken by a family member is ok as long as you look candid (not posed) and don't wear a ton of make-up!. If you are going to use a headshot, make sure you print your resume directly on the back of it because if it is stapled or glued it has a better chance of becoming unattached when you send it to casting directors/agents!. resumes do not require photos, also keep your personal contact info to a minimum, it is better to give a relative's phone so they can call you with any messages!. Do not put your age or dob!. When you hand in your resume for auditions, you generally need a photo with it,however!. Doesn't need to be a pro head shot, just a good snap of your head and shoulders so they can remember what you look line!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
