Question: What is a british Panto play!?
Its based on snow white, but I have no clue what a british/english panto play means!? Is it when some of the characters are male instead of female!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

panto means pantomime and british pantos are theater productions usually of fairy tales like snow white, cinderella, sleeping beauty etc the leading male character is usually played by a girl in her 20's or 30's and the old women like a old dame or maid is usually played by a man in his 50+!. it is normally performed around christmas time and it is a light hearted show for the hole family to see!. they are alot of fun to be in too!. The main male part is played by a girl!. Old women are played by men!. It's not just Snow White it can be Cinderella etc!. The normal time for them is around Christmas!. Panto is short for Pantomine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
