Question: Macbeth debate - lady macbeth DID NOT convinced macbeth to murder duncan!.!?
i'm having a debate in my english class and i just finished act 2 of macbeth!.
topic: Lady macbeth convinced macbeth to murder duncan!.

i'm on the negative side!.

can anyone help me come up with some strong arguments!? thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I think there is no doubt that Lady M pushed MacB to do the deed!. But were her arguments the convincing ones or were other influences bearing on him of greater import!.
The Wyrd Sisters who proclaimed him to be king would certainly have been an influence!. And then too, the fatal vision of the dagger as he approaches Duncan's chamber (possibly a vision sent by the 3 Sisters!? - they may have had more influence throughout the play than is normally thought) may have convinced him to do the deed!.

Or perhaps it was the Wyrd, Fate, itself!. Perhaps he had no choice, that all was preplanned by forces beyond his control!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
