Question: What are the characters in the Nutcracker, and What is it even about!?

My school is performing Nutcracker Jr!. and I was chosen to be the female lead Marie!. (yippee!) We haven't received the scripts yet so I have no idea what the play is about and would like to know what happens!. I'd also kinda wanna sorta know the parts in the play and what they are like, not who they have been played because that's all I've gotten in my research!. Basically , you live with your uncle and your aunt make a surprise visit at christmas and gives you a nutcracker whichs looks like a toy soldier!. Your brother wanting to see it accidentally breaks the arm!. Your upset and you brother says who needs a dumb old nutcracker!.

Your aunt replies inside lies the heart of a king!.!.!.

Things settle down and you fall asleep in front of the christmas tree, you dream or everything comes to life, the nutcracker is fighting off the mouse king and in the process you step in to save the nutcracker only to have yourself shrunk small from his slepter!.!.!.!.

You then try to find the sugar plum princess to make you taller again, fighting off the mouse king and falling in love with the nutcracker!.

Its a great show and your gonna love the part

You could rent Barbie and the Nutcracker!.!.!.my 3 year old daughter watches it about 100 times a day!.!.!.lucky me

There are about a zillion videos of "The Nutcracker"!. Check some out of your library and watch them!.
