Question: Dorothy in wizard of oz!?

ok, i really want to be dorothy in the school musical!. the thing is, i'm chinese!. they girls that will be "going against me" for the role all have brown hair and are caucasian!. do i have a chance!? i really want to be the lead because i know i'll work my butt off!. plus, our school's productions are at an actual theatre!

also, do you have any tips how i can act like her if i get the part!?

Will Smith has gotten a lot of roles that were traditionally for other races!. It really shouldn't matter!.
