Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
1!. Don't choose any song that is too high for her!. When your voice cracks or faults on notes it lowers your confidence and turns off the people giving you a part!. choose a song in range and if you can a song that emphasizes her best sounding note, even if that is the one just a little bit lower from the end of her range!.

2!. This is a guess, but she might be doing Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat or Godspell!. If she is (or even if she's not), try doing a song from that musical!. If it is a song that a lead character sings and she sounds good singing it, that may be the perfect audition song for her!. Remember to keep it in her range, though!.

3!. Don't chose any song that is a pop song or rock, keep it Broadway!. Pop songs are VERY bad for musical auditions - take it from personal experience!.

4!. Chose a song that's not too complicated unless your sister has already mastered that song in advanced!. Learning a complex song in one day can leave you anxious on the day of auditions and can also lower your expectations and esteem

5!. If all else fails, sing "My Country Tis Of Thee"!. You can sing it acapella (without music) and therefore in any key you want!. It has a nice range and is not too long or short!.

Wish her luck and I hope I was helpful!Www@QuestionHome@Com

As she's auditioning for the chorus, the musical director is probably just wanting to know that she can sing in tune and carry a melody!. So I would suggest that she sings any song in any genre that she is comfortable and confident singing!. She will give her best performance if she sings something she is comfortable with!.
Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sing something she knows and loves, that she's passionate about!. Songs from Wicked (but NOT Popular) are really good, like the wizard and I, or something like What a Feeling from Flashdance if she's passionate about dancing!. Anything Andrew Lloyd Webber is good too! Just remember to smile and show her personality!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ahh!. Don't do Popular!. That song is terrible for auditions, unless the character you want to play has an annoying nasaly voice!.
If the style of the show is pop/rock, pick a song from that genre!. Have her find any song that she knows that she thinks would work, and try singing it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

popular from wicked is a fun one!. you can really play it up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

sing This is Me by Demi Levato!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
