Question: Standard audition procedure!?
When I go in at my time slot, what do I do!? Should I act a certain way!?
How do I start my monologue!? Do I just say "ok here I go" and then start out of nowhere!? I don't wanna mess up!. And then how do I end it!? I don't just go like "It is too hard a knot for me t' untie!.!.!. ok I'm done!?" right!? Is there a RIGHT way to do these things!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ok, the last person to answer this question clearly didn't understand your question!.

You should learn what's called a "slate" which is where you introduce yourself and the piece or pieces you are going to perform for your auditioners!.

Usually it looks something like this;

Hello, my name is ____ and I will be performing the role of ________ from _____!.

Then, you take a moment, or two to prep and you enter into your monologue or song, or whatever you are going to do!.

If you are singing, you should give your accompanist a nod to let him/her know that they should begin, or give you a pitch, etc!.!.!.

After your last line, let the final moment hit you and your auditioners, lift your head up, smile, say thank you, and walk out of the room!.

Hope that helps, and break a leg!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Walk on stage like your diana ross, light it up with a kind smile, take a deep breathe and look em right in the eye if you can, believe in your self, pretend there is spotlight on you and all you can see is blackness if that helps, dont pause, or say anything else!. Act as if you did great at the end and walk off humbly even if you think it wasnt as good!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
