Model Agencies do exactly?

Question: What do Talent/Model Agencies do exactly!?

I am a 17 year old male who is interested in doing some part time print modeling, but I dont know how to get started!. Do I contact any old Model Agency or do I start a profile on some site!? also, when you see a model agent do they make u pay up front or can u meet them first and ask them if u actually have a shot at becoming a model!? First of all, 5'10'' isn't bad for a 17 year old!. Male models can range from 5'10'' to 6'2'' as long as you look nice and maintain a healthy weight!. Runway may be harder, but print doesn't have as many requirements!. To find a model/talent agency, search up "talent agencies in (your closest big city, state or the market you plan to work in)!." There should be a list of agencies with contact info!. Visit their website, drive by the agency, and give them a call to find more about them!. Once you set up an interview or submit yourself to be represented, you've accomplished one of the steps to becoming a model!. They should take care of you from there, but that doesn't mean you won't have to work!. Just make sure they don't charge any upfront fees for "training" or "photos!." Although you will need a composite card, using the agency should be optional and they should not insist on paying several hundred or thousand dollars!. Never pay anything upfront!.!.!.get some good head shots and self submit!. If a talent /model agency want to represent you they will call you!. Most local agencies will do everything so be prepare to read commercial copy!.
