Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: 1!. Learn how to act!. It seems obvious!. First join an acting organization in your area, it's not necsassary to move to NYC or LA straight away!. You need the experience first!. 2 Study mens roles!. This is especially important if you want to be taken seriously as an actor!. If you don't choose roles carefully, you'll end up becoming just another "pretty", replaceable face!. A real actor has to be selective about creating his acting resume and must keep his future in mind!. 3!. Be versatile when it comes to your physical appearance!. Are you willing to dye your hair, shave your head, put on thirty kilos!? Do you really think you'll get the role of an introspective, well-educated librarian if you bounce in with scrunchy blonde hair and pink shorts!? Take pride in your ability, and don't let your appearance get in the way!. 4 Now, once uve been in the industry for a couple years, you ask yourself if acting is something you really want and if you enjoy doing it!. If so, u'd want to take it to the next level!. Face it, you need an agent!. A reputable agent will get you the best auditions!. Register yourself/enrol yourself into your local stage school!. 2!. Join a casting agency, then they find auditions for you, plus you'll need to get a portfolio made of yourself!.
