Question: I am a soprano, yes, but how do I reach!.!.!.!?
!.!.!.The high E note Christine sings at the end of the song "The Phantom of the Opera", in "The Phantom of the Opera" lol!? I've heard Eb too, so Eb or E are fine!.

And another thing, just a side note: How do Christines live hit that E perfectly every single performance!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course they have microphones!.!.just not hand-held ones!. Christine's microphone usually goes under her wig and you can sometimes see it on her forehead!. I've seen Phantom's on their cheeks!. The song "PHantom of the Opera" is pre-recored because stunt doubles are used in that scene while the real actor/actress get into the boat!.

It is a hard note to hit, I used to not be able to at all!. I practiced without overdoing it and eventually got it!. Now I can sing it on cue, and it is still not easy, but it doesn't hurt my throat when I sing it!. Some people just cannot get that high of a note!. Eb is what Emmy Rossum sang in the movie!.!.the Broadway Christine's all sing E!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Uhhh, they do have microphones!. No way can they sing that show eight times a week, cutting over the orchestra, without mics!. They're just really small and hidden, and the show is very well balanced (well, hopefully, when I saw it in London the sound was terrible)!. And the thing is that Christine doesn't actually sing that note live - the song is pre-recorded because of what the Phantom and Christine have to do in terms of getting out of the dressing room truck and into the boat ready to go on, there's no way they can see the conductor to sing it live!.

The only way to extend your range is by constant practice - sing scales every day!. and gradually work upwards!. Don't force it, or you'll damage your voice - it'll take time so be patient!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pitch shifter!? I know pop singers use em all the time!. It's a preamp between the mic and the amp that auto corrects you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
