on my resume i have classes i have finished and now i am about to start a new class in 4 days!.!. im already registered so i am definately going to it!. should i put this class i havent started yet on my resume & cover letter !? i really want to since i dont have much else i can put on my resume yet!. But would it be a lie since that classes aren't finished or even started !? thanks :]Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you have not done something yet, it does not go on your resume!. The cover letter should be very very short and a formal business letter saying , please consider me for any projects you are working with!. and that is all!. if you are under 18, have your mom write the letter saying please consider my daughter, etc!. Chances are submissions to casting directors go straight into the trash without looking at them,Www@QuestionHome@Com Hi disneylove, I think that listing that class is a very good idea!. The fuller your resumé, the better!. And because you're definitely going to the class, you should list it!. However, you should know that while acting training may validate you to agents and casting directors, experience is far more valuable!. If you have any kind of film or theatre experience, it should definitely take priority over your acting classes, no matter how minimal it was!. Anyway, good luck with all your endeavors, and remember to get into as many productions as possible (no matter how small) to fill up your resumé!. -KWww@QuestionHome@Com That's no prob at all, just state the name of the course and in parenthesis or italics next to it write " (in progress) "!.!.!. or something of that nature, as long as it is clear to whomever is reviewing your resume that you have yet to complete those courses!. Hope this helps and good luck with the casting director!.Www@QuestionHome@Com why are u sending a cover letter to a casting director!?!?!? they dont need a cover letter they just need your headshot and resume and i would recommend you to put the classes you are going to take on your resume and just say u are currently taking them so that the casting director can have more interest!.!. but dont send them a cover letter they will probably just throw it away cover letters are more like to be send them to an agency not a casting director!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Go ahead and put it on but indicate that you are 'currently enrolled' so as not to misinform that the class has been completed!.
