Question: Is there a company I can call to double check if an agency is a scam or not!?
I called the "Screen Actors Guild" but it's just a number for people interested in open casting calls!.

I have an appointment with Casablancas for an open audition!. I called them for information and I asked if you had to pay for anything!. They said that depending on your skill you'd have to pay!. There's three levels A, B, and C!. People that they feel are skilled get into "A" and don't have to pay for anything!. The "B" and "C" range they'd have to pay for classes/training!.

you're headed into a scam!. check out the screen actors guild website, they have information on the scam operators methods!. if you're looking for legitimate representation by an agent or agency: remember this: they don't ask for money!. they only make a commission on jobs you get by audition for and accepted for a role and only after you get paid!. those who require money for photos, acting lessons, or coaching are frauds!. stay away from them completely, and warn others you know!.!. open audition- open casting calls are always free, if they're legitimate!. check out backstage!.com, the ross reports, ny411, and la411!.com websites, also actors access, and disnetycom!. plenty of info available!. i hate to say this , but casablancas has been taking people for some time!. taking the money , making promises, and leaving many out in the cold-broke!. also check out your states film commission for info on casting info and locations!. note: some cities have their own film commission offices for audition, casting info!. good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com
