yes!. an acting degree is necessary if you want a career in that field, especially nowadays!. but dont count on "starting out making enough"!. no one starts out that way!. you need to love it enough to be willing to work your way up!. make that your eventual goal but you need to take lots of tough small steps to get there!. its real hard work!. but yes, please go to school if you are serious about it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well!.!.!. a degree would be good just in case you don't succeed as an actor!. however, to be just an actor to be in films and tv you really don't need a degree though some classes would be great what you need is talent, an agent, and not bad looks!. acting is not that easy so i would recommend you to get your degree and study another career for a back up!. it depends on the type of acting you want to do!. for film or tv acting, it's more about getting a good agent, having a good personality, and good looks!. but for theatre acting or musical theater, it is much better to have a degree!. but many actors end up being waiters to make ends meet, you have to work your way to the top!. this occupation will not offer you automatic security!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
