Question: Acting Question, anyone familiar with the Chubbuck Technique!? !?
I just finished reading the Power of the Actor, by Ivana Chubbuck, and I was very interested in all of it!. However, I was wondering if you have to apply all 12 steps into a single scene, or if you use maybe one or 2, or as many as you can fit in to make it life like!? Any thing you can tell me about the method would be super dandy! thank you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Chubbuck technique is something you can just pick and choose from to use what you find helpful!. Based on Stanislavski, it is not the best way to approach acting nowadays!. Tony Barr's Acting for The Camera is much better for stage and screen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think Chubbuck's techniques are set up so that you can pick and choose what best fits you in a particular scene!. I think trying to apply all 12 steps might be overwhelming, but whatever works for you!. They are just designed to help people discover an understanding of their characters, as well as pinpoint personal motivations they can use as fuel for scenes!. Just pick and choose what works best for you!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
