Question: Can anyone give me any acting tips!?
I'm Auditioning for a romance play called Almost,Maine in the first few days of September!.
I was wondering if anybody had any acting tips for me!? Or, have you ever acted in this play before!?

What could I do to increase my chances of getting a lead part!?

Mind you, there are many "professionals" auditioning, of which I am not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Be sure you've read the play at least twice before auditioning!. Read it once as literature, to get the general effect that an audience would!. Then, read it as an actor!. See where the characters are going in each scene!. See the general flow of the play and get a feel for how the characters fit into the storyline!.

At the audition, be as absolutely and genuinely kind and polite and friendly as you can!. Don't just put it on, really be kind, etc!. Make yourself as easy to work with and genuinely pleasant to be around as you can -- don't fake that, either, please!. Sure, talent figures into it, but no director in his or her right mind is going to cast someone who's difficult!. After all, why would anyone make his or her job harder than it needs to be!?

Watch and really be interested in the others as they are auditioning Listen well and follow instructions!. Don't be distracted!. Keep quiet when you're not onstage!. Don't talk while others are auditioning!. No talking in the audience!. (How else can I say this!? Keep your mouth shut!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best way to get into acting is find out who the producer is!. Once you do this, give him great head and toss his salad!.!.!. Then you're sure to be a star!Www@QuestionHome@Com
