Question: Drama College Help!?!!?
Okay i live in norfolk and am 15 years old next year I'm looking to join a Drama college, Distance isn't a problem as i have family in essex and would easily be able to access places such as london and the surroundings!. My family are telling me to attend normal college then join a top london school as this would give me time to save money ( About £3,500) But tbh if i can get straight into a school and get the experience then that's what i want to do, i know of a few, London Academy Of Music And Dramatic Arts, RADA, The Guildford School Of Music And Drama, Rose Brudford, Does anybody know of or attended/ing any other drama schools that take 16s +, i don't want a saturday school etc!. i'd like a full time college!. I would also like to find out about grants, My mum doesn't want me to take out a student loan as i'd be 16 and in debt, which i suppose is fair enough, But my mum is a single mum and on benefits, there is no way in this world she will be able to afford it!. & i was just wondering if student grants are available and how to go about getting one!?
Thank You!.

If money is a problem, then you should audition for a DaDa!. Thats a dance and drama award!. they are only available for certain schools like Guildford and any other private ones!. They will then pay the majority of your fees for you!.
Depending on what course you want to take will affect where is best for you to go!. Laine and Bird offer good Musical Theatre Diplomas, which are one year courses for ages 16+!. A lot of places for your age will either offer that course or a dance orientated one!. I was going to do the same as you but I found a good college nearer by that does a BTEC in Musical Theatre so Im going there, If you grab a copy of The Stage Newspaper, they will have a load of adverts from different drama schools with contact information!. Hope this helps xWww@QuestionHome@Com

You would have to audition for any of these schools-if you show a rare exceptional talent, in voice,/movement/acting you could be offered a scholarship!. I doubt if you would get a student grant at 15 or 16 yrs!.
Can't you study drama at A level-this would give you a good grounding-so would saturday school!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
