Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It does not really matter where you live!. There are famous successful stars!. So your first step is to get experience!. If you think you are confident enough with or without experience, then you should get and agent!. To get and agent you can look on line!. But before you get an agent, you should have head shots!. If you can afford them, your parents are right they are expensive!. Instead of wondering how to get one, when you audition for an agency, they will recommend some!. Or if you can't afford them, you can find an agency that will pay the photographer and includes that in their signing package!. The bennefits are that you don't have to pay!. But the catch is they get to keep your photos and you can only have some when you need them for an audition!. So, it has its ups and downs!. Or ask them when they were younger if they ever had a dream and if they say yes then say did you ever give up on that dream and they'll answer and you just tell them how much you want to become an actress and u'll do watever it takes!. Okay thirdly you asked "what does it take to become an actress!?" it takes years of study and hard work!. It aint to peice of cake!. It is very time consuming but your confidence will grow and u'll make great friends who have the same interest as you! You also need to perform whenever you can so you build up resume, then you'll need headshots!. Remember just don't give up and I hope you can persuade your parents to let you take classes! Is there a local theatre company in your town!? If there is, see if they have an acting class for kids!. Or, theatres often need kids for their productions, so there may be roles you can audition for!. Or, audition for school plays!. I don't know what grade you're in, but every high school has school plays!. That's a good place to start!. If your question is how to become a famous actress, i can give you a little outline to help guide you along the process!. Always start small, little community plays are a big help, and you never know who will be there!. If you are not willing to leave it to chance than take the initiative to make connections!. Find someone who knows someone who can help you!. I got the audition with the agency i am currently with because my mom's friend's son was with the agency!. Most of the time your rise to fame begins with your network!. also, search the web for cattle calls for non-union actors in your general area!. Finally, put some time aside to develop your resume (no fancy font just time new roman or arial) and take some head shots (expensive but worth it when they are a quality company i suggest glamour shots)!. But, if you are TRULY committed, try this!. Find a local theatre near your house!. Most community theatre performances are free, so audition, and that will look good on a future resume!. Then, start summing up the costs, and make a nice presentation that makes you look serious!. Sit them down and explain the pros AND the cons to let them know that you are mature and understand that it is not all glamorous!. It might look like this (do cons 1st!) Think $3,000 for some pictures of yourself!. Get involved in community theatre, and don't get a big head!. My main advice is that if you can think of ANYTHING you'd rather do than act, ANYTHING (eg!. doctor, pilot, scrub floors at McDonalds) - DO THAT INSTEAD!!!
