An agent would be a GREAT help to you, they can get you noticed to the Casting Agencies etc!. also i strongly suggest taking lessons!.!.!.if you cant afford them at this time, try getting involved in school plays and musicals they can really help! Start with joining an performing arts school to build your resume and confidence and practice practice practice!. You can also start by doing acting at your school!. After a while when you join an acting organization u'll feel more confident in yourself and u'll learn about all the opportunitys and auditions!. Then later on get an agent to help you through out your career and make a resume and get some headshots done!.
