Question: John Robert Powers question, but different:!?
I've seen all these questions asking if JRP is a scam, and the answers always say that yes, it is, because they ask for your money upfront and don't find jobs for you!.

Well, I had to pay money upfront too, but I get auditions e-mailed to me regularly so I didn't think it was a scam!. The money was supposedly just for the classes and representation!. Can somebody please explain!? Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Are the auditions you are getting real!? Every JRP is independently owned and operated!. Just like any other school, some actually have great placement programs and associations with top agents, managers, and casting directors!. If you are receiving e-mails and they require you to submit to the agent, manager, or casting director directly, they are real and priceless!. Consider yourself lucky that you found an avenue that allows you to showcase your skill
on such a level!.

If, however, you are receiving e-mails and submitting them to JRP, I might question that!. How can you be certain that you are actually being submitted for these projects!.

This forum is full of people looking for advise on how to get a Disney audition!.!.!.and you are getting auditions e-mailed to you regularly!. Wow! Again, what an opportunity!.

I would guess that the person who owns the JRP school in your area has some type of other connections, or that they have a great placement program!. I would be interested in knowing what city you are in!. JRP is a school and you are paying for training! I would guess that is what you parents contractually signed!. Many college bound students select schools because of their placement programs!. If a JRP has that great of an opportunity in their placement, I would say that they are doing their job!.!.!.which seems odd that I would promote anyone that is licensed as one thing and promotes themself as something else!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Any organization that combines performance training with representation is perpetrating a fraud!. A legitimate agent or manager earns commissions off the earnings of their clients!. A teacher or school charges fees to train young talent, without taking responsibility for getting that talent jobs!. If JRP is doing both, it's a scam!. Look for a reputable school or teacher!. If you're good enough, agents and managers will come looking for you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your auditions won't take you anywhere!. I went to JRP with this girl, and she had 28 film roles already, and still can't affort her own apartment!. So if you think it's gonna make you rich and famous, it won't!. They just take people who are willing to pay and then make them feel special and set up phony auditions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

John Robert Powers has been around for years and years and they are a great school!.!.!.And you are right, the money is for the classes and representation!.!.!.YOU have to do the work to get noticed!.!.!.!.keep trying!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a scam because you not supposed to pay money!. But it isn't a scam because they get you jobs!.

Hope this helps =)Www@QuestionHome@Com
