If you have the opportunity for commercials than I would say go for it! The more experience you have usually the better chance!. Your head shot also plays a rather large role!. Many times directors will call someone in for an audition if they don't have any experience whatsoever just because he/she likes their head shot!. But I would say do the commercials, get involved in theater, take acting classes, singing classes, etc and try your best to get an agent because an agent can help you out tremendously! But remember, an agent is only legitimate if he/she doesn't charge you up front!. The agent will get 10% of your profits!. If you decide to get an agent research and ask around to make sure it's not a scam!. I wish you the best of luck!! Ask your parents to check to see if your community has any Creative Drama programs!. If you really want to do commercials than you will need to have your parent take you to a Casting Agent that works with kids!.
