Question: I'm auditioning for seussical the musical, and need a good audition song!. i prefer a belting song!.I'm a girl!?

A good ballad song that really strikes up emotions if you sing it right is "On My Own" from Les Miserables!. The lyrics make me numb every time I hear it, probably because I relate to it so much!.

But anyway, it starts out soft and small, but then towards the end, it's very powerful!. If you have a time limit on how long you can sing, start from the line "I love him, but when the night is over!. He is gone, a river's just a river!." It's a decent point, and it's when it starts to build up!.

I performed the song once at a talent show in Chicago, and the judges said they were blown away!. If you really focus on it and practice, I am sure you'll do wonders!.
