I just finished my acting audition!. When I went in first, the director and his partner who were watching me gave me an interview as well, (as they will for an acting school)!. The whole interview was a test or something to see weather or not I was an outgoing person, what I was into etc!.
The director asked me to tell him about myself!. I said I was quiet, I keep to myself, I love everything to do with art (it's my hobby and one I take very seriously), I'm outgoing when the I need to be, other then that I'm quite Ok within myself!. He asked my what was my favorite film, I said Gone With the Wind!. He asked when would you watch that film, I said, when I'm bored!. Particularly when I'm home and don't have anything to do!. He asked do I read, I said yes I love to!. He was interested in the fact that I read Lord of the Ring 5 times!. He asked about favorite actors, do I go to the cinema, theater etc!.!.!. I also thought I should ask him questions!. I asked him What makes a bad actor!. The answer he gave me was "You said it yourself!. A good actor is believable" (I was happy with his answer)!. I asked him about improvisation and what it involves!. The answer I gave him was very good to him!.
When I did my Shakespeare monologue he said It was very good and there is no need to worry about your nerves, cause you were great!. He then asked me to do it again once more because my voice was low and I needed to say it not to myself but to the audience!.
When I did he was happy because my confidence boosted (so he said)!.
He loved my second monologue and was interested to know were I got it from, and the author because he never heard of it before!. It was called Ohio by Nick Zagone!.
Before I left he said he would be in touch (but he could be just saying that)!. He gave me the details of when he might call!.
It was for an acting course to become proffesional!.
Do you think he'll call me back!? Bit of a silly question, but what the hell!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
