Les Miserables is coming to my high school next year, and I want to try out for the part of Gavroche, but I'm a girl!. Can a girl play this part!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Theoretically anyone could play anyone!. The character doesn't have any love interests, so that wouldn't be a problem!. Technically, directors are not allowed, by virtue of their licensing agreements, to change the gender of characters, but many do!. The character has traditionally always been a boy, starting from the Victor Hugo novel through any productions I've ever heard of, but I would not like to discourage you from trying!.

Your director might also consider casting you as a boy, if your features allow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
