Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Lady Macbeth brings out Macbeth's thirst for power and personal gain!. She manipulates him by questioning his manhood!.!.!. "Art thou afeard to be the same in thine own act and valour as thou art in desire!? When you durst do it, then you were a man!.!." and so she also brings out the side in him that wants to prove himself!. Macbeth brings out the side in Lady Macbeth which is also thirsty for power; she is intensely envious of Macbeth in the respect that she cannot have the power for herself (because of the time period, women were not in a position to gain any form of power over men) so instead she lives through Macbeth, pressuring him to obtain the power that she desperately desires for herself but cannot!.
