Opera?

Question: Which should I major in Musical Theater or Voice/Opera!?

I love to sing!. It's one of my passions, but I don't know exactly what I want to do with my singing!. I would choose Musical Theater but I can't dance and I know it is stiff competition and dancing is BIG!. What should I do!? (By the way, I want to be on stage)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Competition is in Opera as well as Musical theatre, so it's a lose/lose in that category!.

I'm going though the same exact thing!. College is in two years for me, and I don't know whether to continue on in musical theatre or start up the Opera thing (in which I've already started a little bit)!.

One thing to consider: Opera has language barriers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If given the choice major in Voice/Opera!. If you can succeed in Opera you will have no problem doing Broadway musicals!. Many of the roles require an operatic voice!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
