Question: Is it better to use actorsaccess!.com first or find a talent agent!?

i want to know before i start i mean i was gonna do like one or two things and then find an agent just so i have a little more expirience is tht a good idea!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're just starting out, you need to build your resume before looking for representation ESPECIALLY in the LA area!. They prob won't even look at you unless you're union anyway!.

Yes, check out Actors Access for non-union work as well as Backstage!. It's very difficult to start out in a place like LA because there's so much competition, even for the small stuff, but on the upside there's just a lot more stuff!. So, you can' afford to be picky!. Submit for everything - student films, shorts, indies, whatever!. also, get into some classes asap!.

You will need a lot more than 2 credits on your resume to get an agent, so start submitting and start reading everything you can on the business so you'll be prepared!.

Not sure what the deal is with that website but!.!.!.
For some reason young people seem very hung up on having an agent!. Don't worry about that yet!.
Do what you can to get/stay involved in the acting world!. You may not become an overnight Disney star or anything but if acting itself is what you're interested in, then no matter where you live there's almost always opportunities!.
If you start working with other actors who all seem to have agents then ask them which agency they useWww@QuestionHome@Com
