Question: I need some song ideas for an audition! Help!

i need an audition song and i dont want to do one from a musical, because well everyone does one from a musical!. i was thinking maybe a jazz song, like someone to watch over me, or unforgetable, but it needs to be a solo!. im more of an alto but i can be an alto so either will work!. thanks in advance!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dont do something from a Musical if everyone else is doing it!. You should do "Summertime"

Its very popular so everyone knows it it has a jazzy tune

Sorry, (I mean Really sorry) but if you are trying out for a musical, you really should do a song from a musical- but, if jazz is the style of the show, you should be okay!. If it is not a musical with a jazz style, don't do "On my Own" from Les Mis- everyone does that!. Wicked and Hairspray are really popular right now, and songs like "memory" are done daily!. Look at "Someone like you" from Jeckle and Hyde!. I don't know anyone who has auditioned with that song, and it shows a wide range and a sense of style!. Are you trying out for a musical!? If you are, do one from a musical!. Just don't do something over rated!. Like Grease and stuff!.
