Don't bother with one just yet!. School productions, Church or Community drama groups/stage productions!. Then go to drama school in a couple of years when you are 16/17 and get really involved in all drama activities there!.

You can also try children orientated establishments such as CBBC, as they often look for young actors!. But having an agent now would be a waste of money!

Good luck and watch out Keira Knightley! Www@QuestionHome@Com

The timing for getting an agent isn't so much about age as experience!. Aspiring actors get an agent when they're at a level of ability (and have a resume that shows solid training and experience to back it up) to not only be competitive with other professional actors, but also actually need someone to provide the services that agents provide - primarilyy contract negotiation and being an advocator on your behalf to CDs!. Beginning actors don't have a need for this yet because you're not going to start out with paid projects!.

Now, saying all that, since you're under 18, you COULD check out agents in your area that specialize in children and just see what happens!. Once you turn 18 though and start competing with the adults, it's a whole different story and you'd pretty much have to start over (and look for new representation)!.

It sounds like you're off to a good start!. If you enjoy acting, keep doing things with your drama group!. If you want to step it up a level, see if there any conservatory style classes geared towards teens in your area and any community theatres you could audition for!. When you're 18, you may consider studying at an actual conservatory!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I want to be a model and I'm actually 15 right now but I'm gonna try and get an agent when I'm 16!. I would say to wait until you're 16!. Just have fun right now and do well in school!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could get one now if you wanted! :]
Good Luck! :]Www@QuestionHome@Com
