Question: Auditions for "West Side Story"

My local theater is doing auditions for a production of "West Side Story" soon!. I really want to be a part of this, because it will be really good for my resume!. However, I don't know much about the story & what not!. Do you have any tips for when I go on my audition!?

It's 'Romeo and Juliet" set in New York City!.

Tough show - it really requires triple threats for most of the roles!. There will definitely be a serious dance audition, and if you make callbacks, you'd better listen to the score a LOT!. Bernstein wrote great music, but it's very tricky, with lots of unusual time signatures and rhythms!. It would be dangerous to try to sightread this one!.
