get together with your parents and let them know that this is something you REALLY want to do then you all should start researching talent agencies in your area!. if you get signed with an agent, he/she will be responsible for getting you auditions and bookings!. if not just search for auditions for local theatres or even plays at your school its really easy!.

then you should start working on memorization and presentation!. one thing my drama teacher in elementary school made us do was to read snippets from plays, magazine articles, or newspapers to the class in different ways to get used to using emotions and doing cold read auditions!. as far as memorization goes, just read a few lines of a play or article and try to memorize it right after you read it!. then after you get it, try reciting it throughout the day using different emotions!. this is fun to do around your family because they would have NO IDEA what your talking about! lol do this once to three times a day!. and tounge twisters are great for this too!

DO NOT try and get "signed" with talent SCHOOLS that are not agencies!!! you WILL NOT need to pay for anything with an agent!.(maybe a website fee- shouldnt be more than $50- but THATS IT!.) an AGENT will not force you to work with a specific photographer!.

anyplace that asks you to pay more than a $50 website fee or pay to audition is not legit! be careful!. and just so you know- the website fee is for your profile (age, eye color, height, shoe size, bio, and pictures) to be put up on the agents website so companies (or "clients" as they are called) can easily access your PUBLIC info and decide if they would like for you to audition with them or even book you! its great exposure!. but be careful again because NO PERSONAL info should be made public- your birthday, home or cell number, address, and your full name (first and last) should not be up on the site!.

This is my observation from child star's wikipedia pages, lol!.

Alot of these child stars have parents whom are actors or whatnot!. So basicly their child grew up around it and had "natural talent" if you want to call it that!. It's also easier that way to get a agent and that stuff!.

And then there are some kids who acted in commercials for that stuff, i unno how they got there tho!.

And then there are some who have scouters scout them!. how lucky!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
