Have they already started filming for Deathly Hallows!?
Last year I remember there were open casting call auditions for the last Harry Potter movie in London for the roles of Lavender Brown and Tom Riddle!. I really wanted to go but unfortunately couldn't get to London that day!. It was a Sunday but only about a two hour train journey from where I am!.
I believe they do casting call auditions for quite a few films and they've found some really good actors and actresses from it, such as the girl who plays Luna Lovegood!. You probably need to do your research online as I can't remember how but I only found out when the auditions were being held by stumbling upon a website by chance!.
However as far as I know they only audition British actors and actresses, but that may have just been for the last film!. I think it will still apply though!. Unless there are any American characters in Harry Potter I can't think of!. But definitely with last year's auditions, everyone who tried out was required to bring identification such as a passport to prove they're a British citizen and between the ages the casting directors were looking for!. I think I may be too old for most auditions now as I've just turned 19!. But I'm sure it's a good experience, just trying out!. A friend of mine actually made it quite far in the call backs for the role of Cho Chang!.
Good system, I think as there are so many youngsters out there who have talent but don't always have the money or accessibilty to have years worth of training at drama schools!.
Not totally sure but I believe one or two of the older actors/actresses in the last film were American, so maybe the requirements are becoming more lienieunt!. It's probably worth looking into!. Nothing to lose!.
Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you are an experinced actress then talk to your agent about looking into it!. They have not previously held open casting or cattle calls in the US so you would have to travel to the UK with the proper work visas and documentation!. I wasn't aware that they were already prescasting if at all!. also keep in mind that there will be two films for deathly hallows and that theres going to be very little room for new extras casting since half of the book was spent in the woods with just the lead characters!. good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com
