Question: Acting resume help!?
Okay, so I need some help with the training part of my resume!. Well I'm 13 and I don't have much training at all!. I mean, I have no acting training except drama club!. But I do have some dance training!. I've done dance for 2 years!. I've also done gymnastics for 4 years!. Should I include the dance and gymnastics training under the training section of my resume!? Willl it help me at all!? Thanks in advance!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, you list the dance and the gymnastices, but not the drama club!. It would be listed something like this:

(the -----'s = spaces!. YA wouldn't let me space it out in columns)
TRAINING
Ballet--------------Jane Dough---------Jane's Academy of Dance
Jazz----------------Cindy Lou Who----Jane's Academy of Dance
Tap-----------------J Lo-------------------Hi Steppers
Gymnastics------Mary Lou Retton---Bela Gym

Of course it helps! Especially in theatre or any production looking for someone who can dance or do any kind of gymnastics!. In special skills, don't forget to put your top skills for instance if you can do a back handspring or a back tuck, etc!. But do not exagerate because people will ask you to do those skills without warning!.

good luck,

training on an acting resume normally just refers to your acting training!. dance and gymnastics should go under special skills, and you can include the teachers names and how long you've done it if you want!. drama club doesnt really technically count as acting training, but since you're a beginner its ok!.!.!. just don't phrase it as drama club, put your drama teachers and schools names ie!. Training: Joe Smith, Anywhere Middle School!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

adding those two will help you get more parts but in those areas, like if they someone who can dance but is also an actor your resume says you can dance and they will see that, yes, definitely add those two!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Okay, Try acting school or lessons, Great to put a resume as training!!!! Best of luck!!!!
