Actually Tom Grimm is right!. You only see the actors in the films that are produced by huge companies making a ton of money!. Acting is one of the lowest paid careers out there!. Sure the potential to make 20 million is there but a ton of people are making around 30,000 a year and that doesnt even cover cost of living in LA!. Like he said, if you love it that shouldnt be a reason and that shouldnt scare you from doing what you love!. also, its not a steady career!. When the film is up you dont have a job and have to try to get another role!. Dont give up though if you love it!. Thats the biggest thing of all!. Hilary Duff got rejected over 100 times before she got the role for Lizzie McGuire!. Before that role she got another shot at a movie but then got replaced!. All you need is that one shot and if you succeed at making people believe the character you are playing then you can go a long way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As much as I hate to be the bitter voice of reality here, no it doesn't sound like you're destined to be an actor, as the person above said!. I don't mean you can't be an actor, I just mean that just because you want it doesn't mean you'll get it!.

Let's look at this realistically, and trust me, if you have a better idea of what you're getting into, it'll increase your chances of coming out alive!.

First off, most actors only ever amount to commercials or independant films!. Now, if you love it like you say you do, it shouldn't necessarily be a problem in that way, but it doesn't pay the bills and feed the family !. Acting is not a steady job, and even the most famous actors go through phases of financial uncertainty!. Most acting gigs don't pay that much at all!.

Secondly, you're one of probably close to a million people who want to be actors, and like you, say they want to do it because they love it - which is good, because prior to contrary belief, there isn't much money or fame involved!. You've got to compete with these other million people to make a name for yourself!. They'll beat you out of parts constantly, and you'll have to take it!. Remember though, it's not necessarily because you're a bad actor, you might just not fit the role!.

Now I don't want to come off as though I'm discouraging you - far from it!. I'm just trying to let you in on how hard this is going to be!. Now, if you really want to get into acting, take some sort of class, and get involved in productions in your local theatre!. By the sounds of it, you must have some experience if you've decided you want to do this for a living!. Instead of moving to L!.A or New York like most people think they should, stay where you are and make a name for yourself there!. If you're really good, then try your hand at the big shot!. Remember, it's better to be a big fish in a little pond rather than a little fish drowning in an ocean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm going to have to agree with Tom Grim!. Acting is hard, and you don't seem to realize how much work it's going to be!. Tons of people want to be actors, but chances are, you won't make it!. But go for it, work hard, get experience, and know what you're doing, and you have a chance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You've got the right attitude - that's the foundation and you've got the motivation because you love the work - I think you will make it! Break a leg as they say!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sounds like you are really destined to be an actor!!! GL!Www@QuestionHome@Com
