How did this come about!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: "Legs" in traditional theatre scenery are the flats on either side of stage masking the wings!. When the front curtain or "tabs" were lowered and raised at the end of a performance, there was a danger that they could knock into the legs and break them!.
