A lot of what you should do depends on your age!. I'm going to presume you're a teen!?

First, understand that professional acting is not for the faint of heart!. It involves getting rejected so often that you contemplate tearing your eyebrows out!. Only those who are so committed that they can't imagine doing anything else will persevere and make it professionally!.

You need to commit to improving your skills!. Look for instruction in acting, singing, dance, speaking, stage movement, combat, or any other useful acting skills!. also learn as much as you can about everything--take a challenging college-prep curriculum in school, and read lots of plays (especially the masters, Shakespeare Shaw O'Neal Williams Sophocles Aristophanes Wilder Simon etc!.)--also books on acting by Hagan, Lewis, Stanislavski, and others--also any books about theatrical arts in general!.

Get into plays!. School plays are good, but also community amateur theatre, college productions, even local professional shows--call them and ask to be notified if there's a role you might audition for!. If you don't get a part in a show, consider volunteering to help out backstage or with the audience!. As you do this, you'll not only polish your skills but you'll develop a network of people who are experienced and knowledgeable about show biz!.

When you're ready for college, get into the best bachelor of fine arts (BFA) program in theatre that you can find!. That's the route that most professional actors follow; the BFA is a professional training program that should polish your skills and give you a grounding in the business side of show biz!. Then you will be well qualified to start building a career!.

One thing to watch out for--there are lots of people out there who will offer to be your agent and jump-start your career!. Most of them will ask you to pay a nice representation fee up front, or maybe they'll require you to enroll in their acting school or get photographs from their in-house studio!. Do not do business with them; they're scam artists who will do nothing for you!. Legitimate agents will not get paid until they collect a small percentage of your pay from acting jobs; they will never require you to deal with any particular schools or studios; it's unlikely that any of them will even consider representing you until you are a member of one of the acting unions (Equity, SAG, or AFTRA)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, how are we supposed to tell you whether we think you'd be gd infront of an audience!. that's for you to find out!.!.!.try public speaking at school first, then if you're comfortable with that go for actingWww@QuestionHome@Com

i have the same problem but the best thing to remember is that when u get up there make a few jokes, or whatever your act is it wont matter as long as u give it your allWww@QuestionHome@Com

well!.!.to relieve yourself!.!.do tryouts on the mirror!.!.if that doesnt help join the drama club and see if you can handle it!.!.!.still unsure!.!.try everything from MC!.!.!.to leading a parade!.!.!.GOOD LUCK!.!.!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
