Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You don't need college and you dont need classes, yet!. What you need is experience as an actress, so go find a community theatre and get in some plays!. Then if you show any talent, you can spend some money on classes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com With all due respect, NO ONE should think of themselves as TOO OLD to do anything, unless perhaps they are limited by some disorder, and then even those find ways to overcome!. At 28 I want to assume you have some valid life experiences, and might be able to make an effort to study, out of a classroom setting, some of the aspects of theater, and it's technical side!. Becoming involved, even on a local level with community theater, even as a volunteer is one way to begin!. Checking next season schedules of productions and researching various parts is another!. EVEN watching plays or movies, considering the aspects of what it takes to involve ones self and an audience, can help!. Finally, and with again with no offense at all, at 28 you must have, at some point in life had to "ACT" in any number of various situations!. I might suggest an analogy!. You can look online and look at reviews from other people!. I mean, google acting schools in your area and read reviews on it, or even come on here and post a question asking if anyone's been there and if its good or not!. Just find one and do research on whether its reputable!. Then get in some local productions - look at theater companies' websites for any upcoming productions & how to audition!. Get headshots and build a resume, and then send them to agencies in your area!.
