Musical theatre singing is very different from opera or pop!. You use a different set of muscles but it is very good training for all types of singing!. Think of The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, Oliver,Chicago, all Musical TheatreWww@QuestionHome@Com

musical theatre will be songs from musicals!. i!.e west end/broadway shows!. as apposed to classical training for opera, or commercial training for pop songs etc!.
if you want to take singing lessons to give you a more varied choice of work as an actor then musical theatre training is what you need!.

It means she'll teach you how to sing different keys, shows you how to breathe, ect!. She'll probably teach you how to sing with songs from musicals like Phantom of the Opera, or Oklahoma, and maybe other classic musicals!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Musical theatre is probably show songs, from Broadway/West End shows!.!.!.you'd probably work on belting, etc, and not on 'Classical' styles!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Have you seen "Mamma Mia"!? That is the perfect example!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
