Question: Are these headshot okay!? what is wrong with them!?

Im trying to join a roster, i've been sending them these headshots, my resume and coverletter!.
Although i don't have ALOT of experience i do have some, i have taken acting, singing, and dance classes and have been in school and community plays!.
i know these shots are not "pro-fessional" but please tell me why they are not giving me feedback!.

They are throwing your stuff aside because your headshots are not professional at all!. The one with the background is really not acceptable and the sideways one is simply ridiculous!.

Go to http://petersweyer!.com/ and see what he does with headshots!. He captures actors` personalities without it being overacted or silly!. It probably takes a professional photographer to accomplish this so shots from your friend`s cell phone are not going to cut it!. You need much higher resolution to accurately capture your facial features and much more natural poses or non-poses as it were!.

A serious actor takes his career seriously, and invests in proper actor's headshots even if it costs a few hundred dollars!.

No!. They are not proper head shots!. You do not get anything back from them because they are not right for the roster!. I do not believe in such things anyway!. You are not going to suddenly become a professional actor because you posted on a web site somewhere!.,Www@QuestionHome@Com

the first one is too bright and washed out and you can hardly make out your features!. the second has way too much going on in the background with the painting and everything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
