mhmm, you need a working permit to do any work at all, i think it's easier to get a permit for lets say acting then working in a factory lol!. but yea u need 1 till ur 16!. and u have to be at least 12 to get 1 in cali!. http://www!.dir!.ca!.gov/dlse/dlse-cl!.htm!.!.!.!.!. here is the info 4 cali!. just go to yahoo and type in child work permits (for your state) to find all of the laws!.

well just do auditions and if they tell you you need one then get one thats it but to audition you dont need it
