Well, there's a lot of things you can do!. It's all about personal preferences and how much time you have on your hands for extra curricular activities!. First, you've got to start with acting camps, classes, seminars etc which can be found at your school as a drama elective class or your local theatre will mostlikely offer these!. They work with improv, facial expressions, making yourself believable and having fun with acting because acting is after all, not the most serious of crafts!. Then you'll also need to join a choir and get a voice coach in order to improve your pitch, tone and sound quality of your voice as well as getting you some valid singing experience which is vital in musical theatre!. also, a dance class such as tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop or a combination musical theatre dance class would be important so that you can dance with ease on stage or for dance calls in auditions!. Then when you have a lot of starter training you are ready to begin auditioning for plays at your local community theatre, church or school!. This is because you have a good list of training on your resume` or list of acting experience!. Keep auditioning until you have tons of plays that you can list!. If you have an extensive resume` then you are more likely to get a better role because they know that you have experience!. You are also more likely to become involved with a reputable acting agent because they want to know that they can work with someone who can suceed!. You can find acting agents on google if you type in acting agent, your area whatever that may be!. There will be reviews from people like you about their personal experience with that particular agent!. These are important to read, because the feedback will help you to decide as to whether that agency is good or not!. It's important that you know that some agencies are scams, however and should not be trusted!. They are overpriced and you will come in thinking you are getting quality theatre training and come out with an empty wallet!. Don't fall into one of those traps!. Another way of getting at agencies is by use of the yellow pages phone books under the business section beneath TALENT AGENCIES!. Call them up and talk to them, maybe have a meeting and see what you think!.

Resume tips: do not include contact information such as adress or phone number on your resume`!. Resumes are past along and may get into the hands of someone untrustworthy!. Unless it is required, refrain from putting this on it!. also, it is good to put your shoe size, and clothes size so that costuming can be easier for the directors!.

Audition tips: Smile the entire time!. They want someone that's happy and fun to work with as well as easy to please!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

check your newspaper for auditions, and auditions!. Find theatre classes to take!. It will take a while, and you don't absolutely need an agent!. They will help, but you can act with out an agent!. I'm probably younger than you, don't have an agent, and have been acting in professional theatre for 3 years!. like I said, you don't need an agent!. Google, open auditions for you gender and age in the town you are in!. If you don't live in LA or New York, you might have some trouble, but just don't give up and keep on looking!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
