If you just turn on the TV there are all most never that much asain actors!. My family supports me, but don't have enough money for photoshots, ect!. Should I just quit!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Being Asian has nothing to do with it!. It depends on whether you are good enough an actor!. No race barriers in professional theatre and film nor in most amateur productions either!. so get started from there!. 13 and no experience is too young and too dumb to get professionally started!. YOu get started in school plays and find out if you are any good at it, then you make a decision about a career!. What's the rush!? There are roles for all ages!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Ryan, never give up on your dreams!. Trust me, if you work hard, it will all pay off!. Living in LA is a big bonus!. There are many casting directors and agencies in that area!. 13 years old is the perfect age to start acting!. It is never to late to start!. Infact, many actors such as Jennifer Lopez and Salma weren't in the buisness until they were in their twenties!. Don't ever think that the fact that you are asian is going to get in the way of your dream!. I am actually half asian myself, and I have been in the acting biz for about 3 years now!. I have done commercials and small films, and I started when I was about 14 years old!. also, you don't need alot of money to start acting!. That is a myth!. All you need to do is do a google search for talent agencies in your area and you will get a bunch of results!. But be careful, there are many scams that only want your money!. The way to tell is that!. no legit (real) agency will have a "submission" form on their website, nor will they contact you out of the blue!. A legit agency will ask for your resume (which can easily be made) and headshot!. If they are interested in you, they will contact you!. If they choose to represent you, they will never ask for any kind of money up front or sell any classes!. Legit agencies only take 10-20% comission for every paying job you get!. I hope this helped!.
