Question: What Is The Difference Between An Acting Class & A Musical Theater Class!?
It's because I want to be a actor when I grow older, and my parents say I can either take a musical theater class, or acting class, I don't know what to choose! Now next year I'm going to audition again for a incredible art school for 10th grade, and they do theater, and the school is my dream school!. What should I do, and what are the difference in the classes!? Thanks! =]Www@QuestionHome@Com

An acting class will put all it's focus on acting techniques, such as monolouges, scenes and character development!. A Musical theater class would go over these areas, but it'd spend time with dancing and singing and other elements of Musical Theater!. If you are only interested in acting, take the acting class!. If you want more varierty, take Musical TheaterWww@QuestionHome@Com

Musical Theatre is acting as well as singing and dancing; Acting is strictly acting and nothing else!.

If you want to be a Broadway actress, I suggest Musical Theatre class!. If you are leaning towards just an actress in films, I'd go with the Acting class!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
