Question:

i have no idea what is going on here i mean i want to have a career based on acting but im only 12 yrs old i figured if i want that to come true i might as well start now bc i hear all of the actresses and actors started performing when they were just kids blah blah blah so in August im going for a 5 day drama camp at my local theater which happens to be called the Marigold Cultural Centre!.!.!. anyway i live in a really small town in NS Canada so there are NOT ANY OTHER CHOICES except for this place and im trying to sign up for acting classes when the summer holiday ends but what do i do after that!? oh yes if you are going to mension get an agent!.!.!. HA! forget it!. i am lebanese and my lebanese parents dont understand english verywell anyways they wouldnt pay for that and they want me to stay in school you know NOT quit school for acting so what do i do with them!!? i was thinking of joining an online agency for free and maybe i would be offered auditions from there (my mom agreed to that)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I, too, am an aspiring actress!.

I always audition for every school play, and if I don't get in, I work on set so I still learn about things!.

My dad alo works ffor a company the makes commercials, and I've been in a total of 13 now!. They're only locally played, though, so no one but people in my state sees them!.

For me, I've been fortunate enough to get a chance at ProScout, which is only one of the best way to get discovered!. I went, and it was completely worth it!. I learned a lot of things I can now use to advance in my career!.

I'd suggest looking at ProScout!.com for details to see if their coming to a city near you!.

If that doesn't work out, keep trying and try out for as many acting parts as you can find!.

i know how u feel exactly!. acting is what i want in life (movies commercials etc)!. i cant get an agent!. i have decided to never even bring that up because my parents would think there is something wrong with me!.

Reese Witherspoon, as succesful as she is, she lived in a small small small town in Tennessee!. look at her now!. she dreamt and dreamt and dreamt of acting and stayed positive and never gave up on her dream no matter how crazy it seemed at times!. that is basically how you and i are!.

NO online website or deal like Proscout is going to help you !. sometimes I don't think the answerers read the question!. All you can do is the tried and true thing of being in all the school plays and speech activities!. Go to college and take theatre or acting if you are good enough to get into an acting major!. There are no only agencies, they are all ripoffs!. How could you get to a job if you had one!? No way!.
