Well, there are many options when you are considering college musical theatre schools!. In most musical theatre schools, you will get the training in every area you need- dance, theatre and voice!. You will constantly be attending performances, rehearsals, lessons, etc!. If you want to major or minor in any other area, it may be tough, because these programs can be very restrictive and time consuming in your curriculum!. also, if you feel like you excel in, say, acting, you would have a tough time getting your dance and voice skills up because you will be constantly taking classes in all three areas, and you may not get time to take extra dance and voice classes!. That said, some good musical theatre schools are: Shenandoah, Carnegie Mellon, Elon, Boston Conservatory, NYU, Emerson, Baldwin-Wallace etc (you can find more information on these schools, and see other schools, along with advice on getting into these schools here: http://talk!.collegeconfidential!.com/musi!.!.!. )

Any musical theatre school will be good enough to get you on Broadway!. It's you who has to stick with the training, stay with the desire, and remember that when you audition, you will get 100 No's before you get that one Yes!. No matter what, you have to stick with it, because getting on Broadway can sometimes be luck over talent (Many actors have been cast in a role just because they fit the costume of whomever they are replacing!.) Be nice to everyone you meet, because the business is smaller than you think, and your reputation can sometimes reach casting directors ahead of you!. You CAN do this, just stick with it!. That's the main thing to remember!.
During college: Take voice and dance lessons, take theatre classes, audition for every performance you can (including shows that aren't on campus, but in theatres around your school), and see as many shows as you can!.

That said, you don't have to go to school for musical theatre to be on Broadway!. You can major in Acting, Voice, Dance, or even minor in these with a different major, if you feel like one of these are something you are best at!. also, there are many Broadway performers who haven't even majored or minored in any of these, and got their degrees in something else!. The main thing to remember, if you choose this route, is to practice, practice, practice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

here are some good ones: University of Michigan; AMDA LA now offers a bachelor's in musical theatre, so they have finally been accredited; Brigham Young University, Weber State University, Boston University, Boston Arts Conservatory, you have many choices!. and good luck, i'm going to AMDA and Weber, so i guess i'll see you on broadway!Www@QuestionHome@Com
