Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Acting resume...Do I staple?

Question: Acting resume!.!.!.Do I staple!?
It's about time to send off these acting resumes, but I just came to the realization that I have to somehow connect the cover letter, headshot, and resume together :P It doesn't seem proper to staple, but who knows that might be ok!. Should I paper clip them together!? Any advice is welcome!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Deinifitely paper clip!. At work, I deal with paperwork all the time, and it's a pain to have to take staples out of everything!. that way if the person who you sent it to needs to spread them out, make copies, etc!. they won't have to damage the corners of the resume and photos by pulling the staple out!. You can also get a 5 page folder with plastic inserts already in there, so you can protect the paperwork you are sending!. It keeps it neat and accessible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, you staple!. Strange as it seems, that's just what everybody does!. All four corners, back to back!.

Paper clips have a tendency to come off!.

Or, you can have your headshots printed on that special "Masterheavy" photo paper that you can then run through your home ink jet printer and print your resume on the back, (directly on the back of your headshot)!. But it takes a special type of reproduction paper for that!. see here:

Everyone else staples!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Staple your resume to your headshot so that they are back-to-back!. (The agent/casting person can look at your headshot and then flip it over to see your resume!.)

Then paperclip your cover letter in front of your headshot!. This is the standard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

find a folder with a slot they sell them at office stores or walmart you can keep everything together, It also means that they get looked at !. Until your CV gets big this will work I have a book made that can be dropped off and I collect them later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Paper clip is more professional!. Although in a mailing then a staple is fine but if you hand deliver it then by all means use a folder or paper clip!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would suggest using a paperclip that way you dont ruin your picture and you dont leave holes in your resume :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hmmm, I would say no, use one of those report covers with the bind that slides on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

stapling is fineWww@QuestionHome@Com
