Do your best at the audition, and if you get it, whatever you do, don't hold it over her!. If she gets it, be gracious in defeat, congratulate her and don't let it come between you!. Just remember that the musical is a one-off thing but (and this is going to sound like an awful cliche!) friendship isn't just a one-off, your friendship should be much more important than a part in a musical!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Certainly a test of friendship, and the deeper meanings of what one is!. You admit to her being "better" though we can hardly judge that here!. Certainly it doesn't diminish you to make your best effort and still not get the part, nor does it strictly mean BETTER in any REAL LIFE sense!. It should also not diminish your efforts in the attempt!.

Just my 2 "scents"

If I wanted to be sarcastic I might say "You are young, you'll get over it!."
BUT that would hardly be taken seriously!. Still, I say again, the competition will be a test of FRIENDS, and hopefully create a better sense in both of you, of what the true definition of that word means!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Work your hardest, and if you don't get you, then that's that!. Be happy for her!. Be happier for her than disappointed for your self!. That what a friend would do!. Just know that there are so many parts out there and sometimes what you think you'll be good at isn't what you will be best at!. Maybe your director has a special place for you that she or he thinks you excell in better or something!. Don't take it too seriously!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well if shes really a good friend she wont hang it over your head,
you shouldnt say that shes better either youy have to be confident and even if your nervous dont let the people casting the show know just be conifdent have a nice smile and let loose with it
give it all you got until you cant anymore
and if you get it yaaay
and if you dont and your friend gets it dont get yourself down
be happy and support her and theres always more musicals to try out for so dont give upWww@QuestionHome@Com

i would just go with acting your butt off and if she gets it instead of you dont take it personal just congratulate her and be happy with the part you get!. Or you could try out for a different partWww@QuestionHome@Com
