Question: I want to act but my mom is skeptical for many reasons!?
Well she thinks that I'll be hurt when I get rejected (but I know I won't because I've been doing theater and stuff for a while so I know what it's like)!. Everytime I talk about it seriously she doesn't take it seriously and I'm not totally sure why!. How can I convince her that I'm truly passionate and serious about acting!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Write her a letter and explain to her why you want to pursue your career in acting!.First write it on a piece of paper then type it and print it out to make it more neat!.
I wanted to go to an Acting Camp over the summer next year and it's the big deal and lots of money!. I also wanted to get classes there at the beginning of 10th grade once I got used to the school I'm going to{it's an I!.B program which is just realy hard overall!.}
All I did was write her a letter and she did't even ask me questions!.She said that if we have money by then that she would first let me go to the camp to see if I liked it then consider me joining!.My mom is really strict when it comes to my future since she wants me to be a lawyer so it really meant alot!.
You should include in the letter why you want to act so much,how it's your dream,how you understand that you will get lots of rejection !.Things along that line!.
also,just to help you out a bit if you do convince your mom you might want to go to a local theatre or participate in school plays!.also,get an agent!.Maybe stand out of the crowd in a public place!.Somebody may find you!.You never know!.Some stars were just like you before they hit it big time!.Their parents thinking just like yours so just give it a try!.
I thought it wouldn't work but it did and it was worth it!.
If you're going to a local theatre try going to one that will help you!.The one I asked to go to has different things for every season such as helping with auditions and agents to help making your own play with other kids then performing it at the end!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

she does have a right to worry about you, she is your mother after all!. but to show her youll be okay, you should audition for school plays and if you get a bad part, you should tell her about your part with a smile! then she will trust that you can handle rejection! break a leg!Www@QuestionHome@Com
